I am truly honored to have a namesake, and much prefer it to be a rabbit as opposed to a chicken. No offense to the chickens....I'm just more of a 'rabbit kinda girl.' :)
Sure :) Rabbits are cuddly and cute. We had thought we would be able to use the rabbits for meat producers originally, but the cuteness made us all decide against it!
There is a reason the movie, "Chicken Run" was made. Even though they aren't so cute, their actions are hysterical. Anytime we give them some grasshopper to eat, it turns into the great chase. The chicken having the grasshopper runs back and forth with the others following. Reminds me a bit of football. When things calm down the winning chicken beats it beak in the ground several times killing the grasshopper. I'd heard they do the same with rodents. --We are so easily entertained!
We probably will get other rabbits too. We need more poo for our garden, lol.
The earliest historical mention of spinach comes from Persia, somewhere between 226 to 640 AD. Thanks to the efforts of Arabian agriculture, which included a system of irrigation, spinach was established in the Arabian part of the Mediterranean as early as the 8th century AD.
